o control air volume, we offer two options: an Adjustable Frequency Drive or our Econo-Disk®.  Controlling fan volume with an Adjustable Frequency Drive (AFD) offers the user low noise generation and high energy efficiency when regulating flow to within 80 percent of design or less.

The Econo-Disk fan module system reduces fan horsepower efficiently, quietly and reliably. It provides great full load and part load efficiencies without loss at full load typical of AFDs. It is the quietest mechanical fan modulation system available and produces a stable sound power over the entire range of modulation.

Select the Econo-Disk when greatest simplicity and highest reliability are desired.  It saves brake horsepower because it operates on the inlet of the fan to reduce the working width of the wheel. The volume control disk provides a smooth and infinitely variable unloading characteristic.
